Let‘s take a deep breath and a close look towards all the tough tasks to come this year and how to survive them in style.

Resort and pre spring/summer collections are in stock now (some pieces still need a pre-order) and come as crisp as snow: shades of pink and icy blue work perfectly with last years camel coats and let us take a glimpse at spring. While coarse textiles such as tweed or houndstooth give classy outfits a modern, masculine twist. Combine large checked patterns with pinstripes and leather or patent leather that gives a glossy finish to every outfit. Whether your job is ultra-corporate or incredibly creative, with increasingly relaxed dress codes across many industries the playing field of your business wardrobe has nearly no limits. But, in order to not simply be presentable rather than leaving a professional impression, you should always focus on high quality in any business outfit-case. There are certain pieces (like blazersshirts and pencil skirts) and certain labels (such as Victoria BeckhamJil Sander and Joseph to only name a few) you can always count on for a timeless 9-to-5 polish. And also high-street options from Arket to Zara offer a wide range of beautiful pieces to combine with a well-tailored suit, a button-down shirt, designer coat or high-quality bag.

A good piece of outerwear will tie any laid-back look up: Invest in an oversized coat (that is in sale right now!) to layer over all your office looks this season. Although the once-upon-a-time-deal that everyone wore a basic suit is long ago, suits are having a huge comeback these days. Even when you‘re not feeling like dressing up so noble, wearing a suit trousers in combination with a cashmere sweater or a thin turtleneck layered underneath a blazer not only keeps you warm but ensures an appearence in style. If in doubt how official the occasion is, a blazer can transform a mundane jeans and sweater combo into something smart and classy. Vice versa a pair of trainers (in very good condition) dress down miniskirts and tailored trousers–and go with literally everything. Put a twist on the classic white shirt and pencil skirt combo by opting for a silk shirt with statement-making sleeves (like from The Row) and a skirt with a little flair like the ones from Monse. Also wide-leg trousers are back en vogue. Style a menswear-inspired copy with a pair of sleek patent stiletto boots (such as from Anine Bing) for the perfect masculine-meets-feminine contrast. A large tote will always be the first choice when it comes to office bags. But when you don‘t have to carry much, go for a smaller version like a briefcase (see Victoria Beckham) or a trunk bag (e.g. from Marni). Round off any of your business outfits with a great watch (see Swarovski for smart and classy styles with a modern sparkling twist) and some statement jewelry (e.g. from Isabel MarantMarc Jacobs or Chloé, all made with pearls and crystals from Swarovski). And whatever you‘re feeling like–remember that a winning smile on your face will master any job situation.
